About Carolyn

I am a healthcare educator, laboratory administrator, and public health professional with experience spanning clinical nursing, higher education, healthcare leadership, and community health outreach. My career has been driven by a passion for improving healthcare access, educating future healthcare professionals, and advancing preventive health initiatives within underserved communities.

Currently, I serve as a Teaching Assistant and Instructor of Record at Georgia Southern University, where I teach first-year students within the CORE IMPACTS curriculum and support their academic, professional, and personal development. I facilitate engaging learning experiences focused on academic readiness, critical thinking, leadership, career competencies, and global awareness while mentoring students through their transition into higher education. I also work as a Graduate Assistant, supporting academic and institutional initiatives within the university community.

In addition to my academic work, I am the Managing Director of NG-MEDICARE LABORATORY, where I oversee laboratory operations, strategic growth, healthcare partnerships, and public health outreach programs. Under my leadership, the laboratory expanded diagnostic services, implemented community health screening campaigns, and developed corporate wellness partnerships that increased healthcare accessibility and public awareness. I have also led initiatives focused on Hepatitis B education, testing, and free vaccination campaigns that positively impacted underserved populations across Ghana.

Previously, I served as an Assistant Lecturer at Wisconsin International University College, where I contributed to the education and professional development of nursing students. My clinical foundation began as a Staff Nurse with the Ghana Health Service, where I gained valuable frontline healthcare experience and developed a strong commitment to patient-centered care and public health service.

I am passionate about bridging healthcare education, clinical practice, and community engagement to create meaningful and sustainable health outcomes. Through leadership, mentorship, and service, I remain committed to empowering students, strengthening healthcare systems, and improving the well-being of the communities I serve.
