Her Interview
Ten minutes with Carolyn
01What do you attribute your success to?
I have been through a lot - heartache, struggles, you name it. But through it all, I always try to keep a positive mindset. I always try to stay positive, keep safe, and that's the only way to dig yourself out of that hole. Just giving God the glory, being strong. The power of prayer makes a big difference, pushing through makes a big difference, being around positive people, and staying in the Word.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Being a team player, being an example, working hard, dedication. It makes a difference on your job.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Working with integrity, having passion in what you're doing, taking pride in what we do. It makes a big difference and rubs off on people. Being a team player and respect.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Working with young people can be challenging but rewarding. Room for advancement like supervisor or management positions. Able to work under pressure and multitask.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Respect. Even on a job, when we work with different people, different races, different ages, we are not always going to agree, but if we can just try to respect one another, that will go a long way.
