She credits her success to the support of her family, mentors, and the values that guide her every day. Known for her honesty, reliability, and compassionate approach, Jenkins strives to be an insurance advisor who leads with integrity, kindness, and a genuine desire to help others rather than simply seeking to win at all costs.

Ten minutes with Carrie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success first and foremost to God, whose guidance and strength have been the foundation of my personal and professional journey. I am also incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of my husband, who has encouraged me throughout my career, especially during times when my responsibilities require long hours and dedication. Additionally, I credit the mentorship and support of my two leaders, whose guidance, trust, and encouragement have helped me continue to grow, develop my skills, and achieve success in the insurance industry.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is the importance of building and being part of a team you can rely on. I have learned that it is essential to trust others, delegate responsibilities, and recognize that you cannot do everything on your own. Letting go of the need to handle every task personally creates opportunities for others to grow, develop their skills, and take on new challenges. By empowering and mentoring those around me, I have been able to strengthen my team while continuing to grow as a leader.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the insurance industry is to be confident, resilient, and committed to their goals. There will be challenges along the way, but it is important to stay strong, believe in your abilities, and never give up. Learn to advocate for yourself, establish healthy boundaries, and do not allow others to undervalue your contributions. With determination, perseverance, and a willingness to continue learning, you can build a successful and rewarding career.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in the insurance industry right now is the constant change within the marketplace. Insurance carriers are continually adjusting their underwriting guidelines, coverage appetites, and the types of risks they are willing to write, which requires professionals to stay informed and adapt quickly. Navigating these shifts, finding the right solutions for clients, and maintaining strong carrier relationships can be challenging, but it also creates opportunities to provide greater value through industry knowledge, strategic guidance, and creative problem-solving. I believe those who remain flexible, continue learning, and build strong relationships will be best positioned to succeed in this evolving environment.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, reliability, kindness, and integrity. I do not believe in winning at all costs; instead, I strive to be a trusted insurance advisor who genuinely cares about helping others and doing what is right. In my personal life, my faith and my family are my greatest priorities and sources of strength. I believe that treating people with respect, leading with compassion, and building relationships based on trust are the foundations of both personal fulfillment and professional success.
