Her Story

About Carrie

I am a bioenergetics practitioner who works for myself, running my business Hope Wellness full-time for the past year after practicing on the side while working as a nurse for 20 years. I have been in the integrative wellness industry for about 12 to 14 years. I use a nervous system balancing technique that is rooted in how your emotions, thoughts, traumas, and toxins affect your body. My main areas of expertise are nervous system rebalancing, bringing the subconscious to conscious to help people make decisions and make changes in their lives, and getting people unstuck. What I consider my most notable professional achievement is helping people have hope that their life can be different. I hold a bachelor's degree in molecular and cellular biology from California State University, San Marcos, and a bachelor's in nursing (BSN) from Mid-America University. I am also a certified health and wellness coach, having received my training from Duke and national certification from the NBHWC. I am a member of the American Holistic Nursing Association and part of a local wellness consortium in the Kansas City area.

Ten minutes with Carrie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to learning through many, many hardships, many life lessons, and many traumas, and then just doing the work and working through those to get to the other side.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be true to yourself.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is that whole health wellness is big right now, it's kind of the thing, so there's a dime a dozen practitioners out there. But that's also the opportunity - people are looking outside of conventional medicine for help.
