Her Story
About Cassandra
Cassandra Bartell is a nursing and clinical operations leader with more than 12 years of healthcare experience, including nearly a decade as a registered nurse. She currently serves as a Call Center Supervisor at Inizio Engage, where she leads a remote team that educates patients on their medication regimens and supports them as they begin new treatments. Her responsibilities include coaching and developing staff, monitoring quality and performance metrics, ensuring HIPAA and regulatory compliance, and driving process improvements that strengthen both team results and the patient experience.
Cassandra's clinical foundation was built in long-term care, rehabilitation, hospice, and palliative care as an LPN, and continued through her work as a labor and delivery nurse at a high-acuity hospital affiliated with a children's hospital. Her career has since broadened to include triage, telehealth, and hospice admissions, and she progressed into leadership as a triage supervisor before moving into her present role. Before committing to nursing, she earned her nursing assistant certification through a vocational program in high school and briefly worked as a flight attendant for United Airlines.
Cassandra holds a Master of Science in Nursing in Leadership and Management, completed in December 2025 at Western Governors University, following her BSN and an associate degree in nursing from Kellogg Community College. She earned these degrees while balancing full-time work and raising four children, who remain her greatest source of motivation. A supporter of the American Heart Association in honor of her grandfather, she is guided by a philosophy of empowering people, improving processes, and keeping the patient at the center of every decision.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Cassandra
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my family, my friends, and my persistence. Their support and my determination to keep moving forward have carried me through every stage of my career.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I have received is not to sell myself short and not to stay comfortable in one position for too long. Continually challenging myself keeps me learning, which matters especially in nursing, a field grounded in evidence-based practice.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never give up. The work can be difficult, but taking it one day at a time makes every challenge manageable.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family is the value that matters most to me. My children are my motivation, and I know that watching me pursue and achieve my goals helps shape who they become.
