Her Story
About Cassandra
I started my legal career about 5 years ago in 2021, right after becoming a new mom. Being a lawyer was super important to me because I went to law school for a very, very long time, but I decided it needed to take a back burner for just a little bit. I was working for myself, doing transactional contractual law, working with influencers, YouTubers, and clients around my hometown, just kind of paving my own way and creating my own business. Before I went back to school and decided to do the law school thing, I worked in the car industry for a really long time. I was actually the finance director for about 6 stores in the Santa Clarita Valley in California, and I oversaw about $496 million of gross annually. In 2024, Pinewood reached out to me because they were branching out into North America and felt that with my car background and legal expertise, I could be a really good fit as their GC. I interviewed, talked with their board, and they offered me the job in 2025. I've now been with Pinewood for roughly 16 to 17 months. I am their General Counsel for North America, well, North and South America, and I'm also managing director for both regions. I basically do it all. The ongoing joke with our executive team is that I'm kind of the chief make-it-happen Officer of North and South America. It's definitely more than just a legal thing, but I love it. It was always important for me to show my girls that you can be a mom and you can be a super powerful badass in whatever industry you choose, or you could have it both ways, and lucky for them, I chose to do both.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I want to get out there and show women that you can do it all. Very much like I'm trying to teach my daughters, I want to be that for other women as well. You know, the proverbial, don't let a man tell you that you have to be barefoot and pregnant. It was always important for me to show my girls that you can be a mom and you can be a super powerful badass in whatever industry you choose. You don't have to choose one over the other, or you could have it both ways, and lucky for them, I chose to do both.
