About Cassandra
Cassandra Cassidy has dedicated 24 years to the healthcare industry as a registered nurse. Her career encompasses cardiac nursing, critical care nursing, perioperative nursing, mental health, and leadership. She has worked in acute care hospital facilities, served as a house supervisor, and held positions as adjunct faculty and associate professor at a community college for six years, where she taught pharmacology and developed programs. Cassidy also served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps, acting as a health promotions officer and fit coordinator. Currently, she works as an NCLEX preparation specialist, known as an NCLEX Reviewer, assisting students nationwide, and continues as a perioperative nurse. In March, she founded Nurses Mentoring Nurses, a non-profit organization where she serves as founder and CEO. Cassidy earned her master's degree at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, Tennessee, and her doctorate from Aspen University. She is actively involved with the Tennessee Nurses Association, having served as Director at Large, President, and currently as Secretary. Her professional journey reflects a commitment to education, mentorship, and advancing the nursing profession.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You must create in your career what you want to get out of your career. Have that end goal. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? What's the ladder? How are you going to get there? Always have your plan or agenda, your vision of where you want to go. If you can envision it, you can achieve it.
