Cassandra Grod
Cassandra Grod is a dedicated trauma therapist and the founder of Healing Family Solutions LLC, a private practice in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. With over seven years of experience in the mental health field, she has provided psychotherapeutic services to individuals and families across diverse settings, including schools, community programs, and private practice. Cassandra is passionate about helping clients navigate trauma, burnout, and relational challenges through evidence-based interventions, restorative wellness events, and somatic healing techniques.
Cassandra earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Rutgers University, specializing in trauma and receiving certification in Violence Against Women and Children. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) at Capella University, expected to complete in 2026. Cassandra is trained in sandplay therapy and is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Her professional journey is guided by her dedication to advocacy, prevention, and empowering individuals to heal and thrive.
Beyond her clinical work, Cassandra enjoys a rich personal life that balances creativity and wellness. She loves crocheting, spending time outdoors, running, playing with her dogs, and crafting metal-stamped jewelry. She credits her high school teacher, Mrs. Weber, as a formative mentor who inspired her commitment to helping others. Cassandra’s approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and a deep belief in the resilience of the human spirit.

I attribute my success to the support and guidance of those around me, particularly my high school teacher, Mrs. Weber, whose encouragement and mentorship made a lasting impact on my personal and professional growth.

Do your inner work and never stop growing, learning, and pushing yourself forward.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the insurance industry right now is adapting to rapidly evolving risks, such as cyber threats and climate-related events, while meeting increasing customer expectations for personalized, digital-first experiences. At the same time, these challenges present opportunities to innovate—leveraging technology, data analytics, and customer-centric strategies to create more efficient, responsive, and tailored insurance solutions.
