About Cassandra
With approximately 20 years of experience as a tax professional, I specialize in payroll taxes for companies. My core areas of expertise include payroll tax filings, payments, and reconciliations. I work exclusively with corporate clients, helping them navigate the complexities of payroll tax compliance. I hold a GED and have obtained my PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number). While I have pursued the CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification and have taken the exam multiple times, I acknowledge that standardized testing is not my strongest suit. Despite this, I have built a successful career over two decades serving businesses with their payroll tax needs.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't get involved the daily toxicity of the workplace.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stay in school to completion, choose your goal position/career level at 25 and don't stop reaching until you get there. Don't get stuck on one place with false promises.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
My biggest challenge has always been education to back up the experience. My experience and vast knowledge of all kinds of Tax has never been enough to make me the first choice. AI is making this even harder in todays world of recruitment.
