She previously spent 14 years at one company in accounts payable after transitioning from retail management and a nanny role post-college. She later worked four years at another firm moving between AP and AR before joining her current employer four years ago, where she advanced to her senior role. Cassandra holds a Bachelor's degree in human development and family life from the University of Kansas. She completed bookkeeping classes at Clayton State and tax classes at H&R Block. She has served as a Notary Public for Georgia for 15 to 20 years. Her Interview

Ten minutes with Cassandra

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my parents who taught me to always believe in myself and that you can do anything if you set your mind to it. I followed my interests from being a nanny after college to retail management and then into accounting through opportunity and additional training.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is managing payments for over 5,000-7,000 vendors to ensure everyone gets paid within their terms. We've implemented AI systems for auto-pay and scheduling payments ahead of time which has streamlined the process and given me time back.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Trustworthiness, strong morals, ethics, and honesty are most important to me. These foundational values are essential when managing a company's money.
