About cassandre

Cassandre Bossicot is a Rotational Executive Intern completing a three-month program with Explore Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. A recent May graduate of Bethune-Cookman University, she holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality and Management Systems. During her studies she gained hands-on experience through rotational internships at Hilton Grand Vacations Daytona Beach Regency Vacation Club, rotating through front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, marketing, sales, concierge, group sales, and other departments. She is fluent in English and Creole with additional proficiency in French, Spanish, and Japanese, and was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Cassandre maintains active memberships in SHSM, the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality, NCBMP, ISEP, and the International Hospitality Honor Society. She has received multiple scholarships and awards from organizations including NCBMP, AHLA, the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, Destination International Foundations, and the Lodging and Hospitality Association of Volusa County. She attributes her success to the resilience, faith, and perseverance modeled by the women in her family and is passionate about developing inclusive workplaces and the next generation of hospitality leaders.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the women in my family who taught me resilience, faith in God, and perseverance. Watching them overcome challenges inspired me to approach my goals with determination and confidence, especially in the hospitality industry where every day is different.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Lead with kindness, serve with excellence, and always have your end goal in mind even if it is years away. Keep having goals and keep going.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't let fear stop you from pursuing your goals. You don't have to have everything figured out to take the next step. Always believe in yourself, stay curious and willing to learn something new. Work hard and never underestimate the power of consistency.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is adaptability for my generation entering the industry as it evolves. The biggest opportunity is developing the next generation of hospitality leaders by creating inclusive workplaces, investing in employee development, and building strong teams to improve both employee and guest experiences.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, kindness, and titanium service to guests professionally. In personal life, kindness, integrity, and accountability are most important.
