Her Story
About Cassie
I started my career in event technology in 2014, just a few months out of college. I went on a job interview at a co-working space in Midtown New York for a technology startup called Boomset. I was asked a bunch of questions about events, some I knew, and some I certainly had to fake it till I made it. I got that job as a salesperson supporting what I was selling from an event technology perspective, and then I built out the service side at that organization. I started as the single, only customer success manager for all of the customers at Boomset, and then built a team that was both reactive and proactive, a group of 10 to 15 folks. I was at Boomset for quite some time before it was sold in 2021 to a company called Hoppin'. My most notable professional achievement was my role in assisting Boomset during its acquisition by Hoppin'. After Hoppin' pretty quickly sold off their business to a few other organizations, I connected with Twist, an all-in-one event technology platform providing services for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, mainly in the one-to-one meeting space, which is a crucial aspect of a business event or a B2B event. Now I'm doing sales at Twist. What I love about events is that every event is different, and corporate events are so crucial to the sales of that business. I love being a part of events, I really do.
