Her Story
About Cassy
Cassy Stone is a maternal wellness advocate, author, and founder of BLOOM Maternal Wellness and Parental Support, a faith-centered organization created to empower mothers through life’s most difficult and transformative seasons. Based in Tampa, Cassy is first and foremost devoted to her role as a wife, mother of six, and supporter of women navigating the emotional realities of motherhood. Her passion for maternal wellness was born from personal experience after facing postpartum depression following the birth of her first child and later witnessing similar struggles among mothers she encountered while working in a WIC office. Seeing women of all ages quietly carrying the same emotional burdens inspired her to create BLOOM as a safe, supportive space where mothers can feel seen, heard, and empowered. Throughout her life, Cassy has overcome significant personal hardships that shaped both her perspective and her purpose. As a young mother balancing college and parenthood, she learned early the importance of perseverance and resilience. She has experienced depression, financial struggles, childhood trauma, single motherhood, and profound grief following the loss of her mother, who she describes as her closest friend. That loss inspired her to write her book, Saying I Do Without You, which shares her deeply personal journey of planning her wedding without her mother’s presence and reflects on healing, faith, and love through grief. Alongside her work with BLOOM, Cassy has also been involved in community outreach and homeless ministry efforts through organizations connected to the Tampa area, continuing her commitment to uplifting vulnerable individuals and families. Educated in social work, education, and developmental psychology, Cassy combines academic knowledge with lived experience to guide and encourage women through motherhood, mental health challenges, and personal growth. Her work is grounded in compassion, positivity, and faith, values she believes are essential in a world where many people are silently struggling. Cassy credits her success not to circumstance, but to perseverance, her relationship with God, he incredible mother, and her desire to inspire others to keep moving forward regardless of their hardships. Through her leadership, advocacy, writing, and mentorship, she continues to remind women that healing is possible, support matters, and no mother should ever feel alone.

01What do you attribute your success to?
What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success first and foremost to God, whose guidance, grace, and favor have carried me through every season of my journey. I’m also deeply motivated by my children, who inspire me daily to lead with purpose, resilience, and determination. And honestly, being a natural overachiever has always pushed me to strive for excellence, continue growing, and never settle for less than my full potential.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was to remain authentic, never allow intimidation to silence my voice, and always have the confidence to advocate for my ideas, values, and concerns. I’ve learned that true leadership is not about shrinking to fit a room, but about showing up with integrity, professionalism, and purpose. Staying grounded in who I am has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally while creating meaningful impact in the lives of others.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
One of the most important things I would encourage young women to focus on is building the right network and surrounding themselves with people who genuinely support their vision, growth, and goals. Having the right community and connections can be pivotal to your success. There’s an African proverb that says, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” I truly believe lasting success is built through collaboration, mentorship, and meaningful relationships with people who pour into your purpose as much as you pour into theirs.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges, especially when starting out, is securing adequate funding and resources to fully bring your vision to life. Building programs, creating community impact, and sustaining meaningful work all require financial support, and navigating that process can be difficult in the beginning. However, I also see this as an opportunity. It pushes you to become resourceful, build strong partnerships, and create innovative solutions that can lead to long-term growth and sustainability. ✨
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is one of the most important values to me, both professionally and personally. I believe in doing things ethically, leading with sincerity, and ensuring that the work I do genuinely comes from the heart. Building trust within the community, with the women (and families) I serve, and with supporters and donors is something I value deeply because trust is the foundation of meaningful impact and lasting relationships.
In my personal life, God is first and foremost the foundation of my marriage, my family, and my household. I also strongly value self-care and personal wellness. I believe that in order to pour into others effectively and fulfill any role with excellence, you must first take the time to nurture and care for yourself. Becoming your best self allows you to show up more fully for the people and purpose connected to your life.
