BLOOM Maternal Wellness and Parental Support
Tampa, FL 33602

Cassy Stone is a maternal wellness advocate, author, and founder of BLOOM Maternal Wellness and Parental Support, a faith-centered organization created to empower mothers through life’s most difficult and transformative seasons. Based in Tampa, Cassy is first and foremost devoted to her role as a wife, mother of six, and supporter of women navigating the emotional realities of motherhood. Her passion for maternal wellness was born from personal experience after facing postpartum depression following the birth of her first child and later witnessing similar struggles among mothers she encountered while working in a WIC office. Seeing women of all ages quietly carrying the same emotional burdens inspired her to create BLOOM as a safe, supportive space where mothers can feel seen, heard, and empowered. Throughout her life, Cassy has overcome significant personal hardships that shaped both her perspective and her purpose. As a young mother balancing college and parenthood, she learned early the importance of perseverance and resilience. She has experienced depression, financial struggles, childhood trauma, single motherhood, and profound grief following the loss of her mother, who she describes as her closest friend. That loss inspired her to write her book, Saying I Do Without You, which shares her deeply personal journey of planning her wedding without her mother’s presence and reflects on healing, faith, and love through grief. Alongside her work with BLOOM, Cassy has also been involved in community outreach and homeless ministry efforts through organizations connected to the Tampa area, continuing her commitment to uplifting vulnerable individuals and families. Educated in social work, education, and developmental psychology, Cassy combines academic knowledge with lived experience to guide and encourage women through motherhood, mental health challenges, and personal growth. Her work is grounded in compassion, positivity, and faith, values she believes are essential in a world where many people are silently struggling. Cassy credits her success not to circumstance, but to perseverance, her relationship with God, he incredible mother, and her desire to inspire others to keep moving forward regardless of their hardships. Through her leadership, advocacy, writing, and mentorship, she continues to remind women that healing is possible, support matters, and no mother should ever feel alone.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I believe that God put it on me to support and inspire others. I've persevered through so many challenges in my life - losing my mom who was my best friend, experiencing postpartum depression, single motherhood, financial struggles, and childhood trauma. But I just kept going, no matter what. Getting pregnant and having my first child while in college my first semester was difficult to overcome, but I continued. All of these experiences taught me to just keep persevering, and now I use everything I've been through to empower other women to keep going, no matter where they are. There's so much going on in the world, and we just need some positivity, some light, and a little love sometimes. That's why I'm here - to bring that support and inspiration to other mothers and women who are going through their own struggles.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received was to always be my authentic self, never feel intimidated by others, and have the confidence to voice my opinions and concerns. I’ve learned that staying true to who I am and speaking up with professionalism and purpose has helped me grow both personally and professionally.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women entering this industry to be good listeners, embrace change, and never stop learning. Every experience is an opportunity for growth. I also believe it’s important to reach out and support others whenever possible, because compassion and connection can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest opportunities in my field is the ability to reach and support more women and families as they navigate life’s struggles and important decisions. At the same time, it can be challenging to meet the growing emotional and practical needs of so many individuals, which makes empathy, guidance, and strong communication more important than ever.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me are maintaining a willingness to learn, bringing positivity to others, and being a supportive coach and team leader. I believe in leading with encouragement, compassion, and integrity while continuously striving to grow and help others succeed.
