With a strong foundation in leadership and media, Catherine has held key roles at the college radio station, WLMC, including News Director and Social Media Assistant, as well as an internship as Director of Operations for the college newspaper and website. Her expertise spans Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace, supporting her work across photography, journalism, and communications.

In addition to her media and creative pursuits, Catherine has developed a robust background in customer service and event operations, working as a core photographer at JCPenney and as a Front Gate Team Member at Six Flags America. She also dedicates her time to volunteering at Brooks Memorial Library, shelving books in the Children's section, reflecting her commitment to community engagement and education. Catherine’s personal photography projects, including her “Timeline of Emotions,” showcase her perspective as a neurodiverse artist, translating life experiences into compelling visual storytelling.

I attribute my success to a lifelong passion for photography that began at age four, combined with a continuous pursuit of inspiration and creativity to capture the best possible images and express my vision through my work.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that I can build the career of my dreams while bringing my creative visions to life, reminding me to pursue opportunities that align with both my passion and purpose.

My advice to young women entering the industry is to believe in themselves—your childhood dreams can evolve into adult aspirations, and with passion and perseverance, they can become your reality.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge—and exciting opportunity—right now is completing her final semester of college, which will open the door to pursuing the photography career she’s always dreamed of.
