Catherine Liu

Catherine Liu is a Senior Product Designer based in New York, NY. She began working in product design around 2020 and has accumulated six years of experience in the field. For the past two years, she has been at her current company, where she has focused on building design operations as part of a small team. This work has included designing the company's design system, integrating UX practices into the product pipeline, conducting user interviews, and analyzing session replays to inform product decisions. Liu is now transitioning to a new role in fintech healthcare, driven by her interest in solving human-centered problems and contributing to productive societal outcomes. In addition to her full-time work, she occasionally takes on contract projects through her studio, 2-Pixel Studio, which serves as an outlet for more creative freedom. Shortly after college, Liu co-founded Flipkit, a small startup with three friends that developed an AI tool to help full-time secondhand resellers manage their businesses by generating listings from up to 50 images and posting to multiple marketplaces while providing inventory and analytics features. The beta launched in three months with over 1,000 users.
