Her journey began at Arizona State University, where a class in Family and Human Development sparked her personal transformation and inspired her mission to help others prioritize their health. After working in gyms like Planet Fitness, Verrado Golf Club, and Life Time Inc., Catherine honed her skills in fitness training, assisted stretching, and diet coaching, developing a holistic approach to wellness that emphasizes both physical and emotional growth.

In 2025, Catherine launched Killin’ it w Cat, offering virtual, in-home, and in-gym training tailored to individual needs. Her approach is grounded in empathy, patience, and authenticity, creating an environment where clients feel seen, motivated, and empowered to achieve their wellness goals. Beyond physical fitness, she emphasizes mindset and confidence, guiding clients to develop sustainable habits and a balanced lifestyle.

With certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in Stretch and Flexibility and as a Certified Personal Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association, Catherine combines formal expertise with her personal passion for helping others. I attribute my success to leading by example—not just telling my clients what to do but walking the walk alongside them.

My advice to young women entering this industry is to be yourself, stay authentic, and carry confidence—people will naturally be drawn to you.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of my biggest challenges has been starting my own business and navigating the process of building systems and structures that corporate gyms I used to work for already had in place.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Transparency, honesty, and positivity are the values I live by in both my work and personal life. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through working out and hiking, as well as traveling and reading to keep my mind inspired.
