Dr. Cathy Riggins
Dr. Cathy Riggins is the Founder and CEO of C.L.R. Educational Consulting, LLC, where she leverages her extensive experience in education to connect academic programs with industry needs. With a career spanning over two decades in educational leadership, Cathy has specialized in curriculum development, workforce preparation, and personalized career path consulting. Her firm also spearheads the Arkansas Construction Exposure Academy, an initiative designed to introduce young people to careers in construction while equipping them with the skills needed for success in the field.
Prior to founding her consulting firm, Cathy served as Assistant Superintendent for the Vilonia School District for over 11 years, where she was recognized as the 2023 Administrator of the Year by the Arkansas Association of Career and Technical Education Administrators. During her tenure, she implemented high-quality, systemic academic programs and led the transformation of the Vilonia Pathways Academy into a conversion charter school, reflecting her commitment to innovative, industry-aligned education. She also previously served as Principal of Vilonia Middle School, earning recognition as an Arkansas Designated Master Principal and Diamond School to Watch.
Cathy’s work centers on preparing the next generation of professionals by bridging education and industry, emphasizing workforce development, and empowering young people to achieve the American Dream. What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my passion for guiding students in choosing and building their career paths. My years in the classroom, combined with leadership roles and advocacy for industry-aligned education—especially in the construction field—have allowed me to help countless young people create personalized pathways to meaningful careers.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to do my very best every single day.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field is helping young people discover their career paths and achieve the American Dream, including financial independence and homeownership, at a young age.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are guiding and supporting young people, family, faith, and enjoying life through activities like fishing, camping, attending sports events, music, and spending time with my grandkids.
