About Cecelia
Cecelia Curtin is a hospitality professional and marketing graduate with experience in customer service, digital marketing, community engagement, and guest relations. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Salem State University, graduating Cum Laude in 2026. Through her academic journey, she developed a strong foundation in business strategy, marketing communications, and customer-focused initiatives, while also expanding her perspective through an international study abroad experience at Dublin City University.
Cecelia has built her professional experience in the hospitality industry through roles at Topnotch Resort and other customer service environments, where she focuses on creating welcoming and memorable experiences for guests. Her background includes serving resort guests, supporting events, and engaging with diverse customers while maintaining professionalism, positivity, and attention to detail. She also gained valuable digital marketing experience as a Digital Marketing and Community Engagement Intern with Cuala Foundation, where she contributed to content creation, communications, and brand engagement efforts.
Beyond her professional work, Cecelia is passionate about mentorship, teamwork, and personal growth. As a hockey coach with STARS Hockey and G4H Hockey, she encourages young female athletes to develop confidence, resilience, and a love for the sport. She credits her years of playing ice hockey with helping her build the perseverance and strong mindset needed to overcome challenges. Guided by values of happiness, respect, and kindness, Cecelia believes that difficult moments are opportunities for growth and that maintaining a positive attitude can make a lasting impact on others.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the resilience and strong mindset I developed through playing ice hockey from a young age. The discipline and determination I learned in sports have carried over into my career and helped me overcome challenges.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to remember that everyone has bad days. I always ask myself how I would want to be treated in that moment—with kindness and understanding rather than criticism—and I carry that mindset into how I treat others.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to remember that a bad day does not define your career. Everyone experiences difficult moments, but what matters is how you respond, learn, and bounce back from challenges.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges are just having to deal with difficult people in difficult moments. Sometimes just getting through the day, you know? Days are long, and people are tough.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Happiness and respect. You can have really tough moments, but if you just show up happy, those tough moments turn good. Respect, obviously, treating people how they want to be treated, treating yourself that way goes a very long way.
