Celeste Harmer
Celeste Harmer is a Licensed Insurance Agent with nearly ten years of experience in the insurance industry, primarily focused on auto and homeowners insurance. She has worked within agent-supported environments rather than operating her own agency, helping clients evaluate coverage options and select policies that best align with their individual needs and financial circumstances. Her professional approach is centered on accuracy, clarity, and ensuring clients are appropriately protected without being over- or under-insured.
She is known for a client-centered philosophy that emphasizes thoughtful communication, discipline, and dedication. Celeste takes a consultative approach to her work, asking detailed questions to fully understand each client’s situation before making recommendations. She values consistency and commitment, bringing a strong work ethic to every role and striving to deliver reliable service and strong outcomes for both clients and organizations.
Celeste began her career after transitioning from the art world into insurance, following early professional experience in a gallery setting and academic training in art history and graphic design. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Rosemont College, after beginning her studies at a community college where she served as president of the Phi Theta Kappa chapter. Her academic achievements include summa cum laude honors, a Pennsylvania state gold medal for academic excellence, a USA Today academic team nomination, and membership in multiple honor societies, including the Gertrude Kistler Honor Society.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a powerful combination of hard work, unwavering dedication, and rigorous goal setting. I don't just write down arbitrary milestones; I map out exactly what I want to accomplish and create a relentless focus around achieving them. By marrying clear targets with the work ethic required to reach them, I’ve been able to consistently push my career forward.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career "advice" I ever received came in the form of encouragement when I was first approached about entering this industry. Someone I respected pulled me aside and said, "You are smart, you are ambitious, and you are intelligent I think you would do incredibly well in this field, and it’s something you should seriously consider." Hearing someone validate my potential gave me the confidence to take the leap. I am incredibly glad I listened to that push, as it set me on a path that perfectly aligns with my drive and capabilities.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My primary advice is to commit to the grind and focus entirely on building your foundation. Concentrate first on securing your license, and then shift your focus to learning absolutely everything you can about the insurance industry. Treat your early days as an immersive education; the deeper your product knowledge and industry understanding, the more confident and effective you will be when you finally step in front of clients.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
In my field, the biggest opportunity lies in how accessible the path into insurance truly is there is a clear, straightforward process for becoming licensed, and with the right effort, study discipline, and successful completion of the required exam, an individual can quickly begin building a career. At the same time, this accessibility creates a significant challenge, as long-term success depends heavily on strong self-discipline and internal motivation. Because the entry requirements are not overly complex, the real differentiator becomes one’s willingness to put in the foundational work, master the material, and consistently develop the skills needed to serve clients effectively. Those who are eager to skip the learning phase and move directly into selling often struggle, while those who commit to the process with focus and persistence are the ones who thrive.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Hard work and dedication are my most deeply held core values. I believe in giving 100% of myself to everything I touch, leaving no room for half-hearted efforts. For me, fulfilling my commitments and achieving my personal and professional goals isn't just about the end result it's about maintaining a standard of personal excellence and integrity in how I show up every day.
