Her Story
About Chandra
Chandra Wilson is an architect with approximately 32 years of experience in the industry. She attended The Ohio State University, where she pursued architecture after discovering that the school did not offer programs in fashion design or interior design. Wilson has worked with many of her colleagues, including her current mentor, Jim Butz, since 1996. She has been with SPGB Architects for the last 13 years. She credits her success to maintaining a positive attitude, seeking the best in others, and embracing collaboration and diverse viewpoints. Wilson advises young women entering architecture that the field offers many avenues, from residential to commercial work, and that practitioners often function as a Jack of All Trades rather than experts in one single area.
