Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to persistence, valuing the artistry of my work, honesty in business, and ‘moving in love’ in every professional interaction. I also credit the meaningful encounters I’ve had with people who arrive in alignment with my goals.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is: “As long as you move and love, then everything’s going to work out fine.” I use this guiding principle in my work every day.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women entering this industry not to be intimidated. Give every opportunity your full effort, be honest with clients, protect the author’s voice, and avoid gatekeeping. Sharing knowledge and opportunities with others is essential.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges in my field are gatekeeping, unauthorized publication or theft of work, the volatility of the writing industry, and the difficulty of monetizing creative writing. Opportunities include attracting celebrity clients, expanding an author roster, and growing my publishing platform to support women and children’s books.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values I prioritize are honesty, integrity, love-centered work, supporting and elevating other women, and being fully present for my family while pursuing ambitious professional goals.
