Her Interview

Ten minutes with Charitha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I can't actually measure something as success, but I would say keep going, keep doing things. Success to me is if I'm happy today or not, and if I'm able to serve people, that is my success.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Something that people say I sacrificed a lot and struggled, but if it's something you're passionate about that you love to work for, I don't think that's a sacrifice or struggle, it's something that motivates you to wake up every day. I do not count any of my career paths to be a struggle or a sacrifice. It's something that I loved.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be prepared for any kinds of obstacles that come up, because you never know what is going to be overtaken by AI or what can just not exist tomorrow. Do not rely on anybody, make great connections, but complete yourself first before you think you can actually make collaborations or contributions to anything.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is something that I give utmost importance to. Saying no is something that I do not want to look back upon, or I don't want fake promises. Being very open to whatever I can do is something really I value, and emotional intelligence is a great factor that I respect.
