Charlotte Boyd

She is a dedicated cosmetology educator and leader with over two decades of experience in beauty education, curriculum development, and workforce training at the community college level. Currently serving as Associate Department Head of Cosmetology at Wake Technical Community College, she provides academic leadership, program oversight, and mentorship to both students and faculty. She has also served as Assistant Professor and Cosmetology Instructor at Wake Tech since 2015, educating high school and adult learners in the diverse field of cosmetology, teaching both practical and theory classes. Her career includes cosmetology instruction at Halifax Community College and Vance-Granville Community College, as well as over seven years as a Sales Manager at U.S. Cellular. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Workforce Development with a focus on Career Technical Education from Appalachian State University. She is recognized as a passionate, student-centered, and innovative educator who is deeply committed to preparing the next generation of beauty professionals and advancing workforce development in the cosmetology field.
