Her Story
About Charlotte
I am a people person. I love meeting new people, all different kinds of people, and I knew that sales, you know, sometimes it has a stereotypical kinda sleazy perception of it, but I don't think that's what sales is about. I wanted to be in sales because I love people, meeting new people, making relationships, and I think that in sales, you really help people a lot. You find out what their needs are, and you come up with a solution that can make their life, hopefully, easier. I knew that I wanted to be involved in the community and do something where I was helping people. I love how much Macon has grown, downtown Macon has grown over the past few years, and so I knew I wanted to be a part of something to help our city grow. This position just came at the perfect time for me, and it's been great to be a part of the growth in our community and help people. Working for a non-profit is very rewarding.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say go for it, and it's definitely rewarding. It can be, depending on the field you're in, it can be a little daunting if it's a male-dominated field, but I have found that being a woman is a positive thing in sales, and it's been really a rewarding career so far, and they should be confident and go for it, and I would be there to help them in any way, if they had any questions.
