Charlotte Russell
Charlotte Russell is an accomplished entrepreneur and staffing executive with nearly 20 years of experience in workforce solutions, primarily within the hospitality industry. Her passion for staffing and service began early, as her parents owned a restaurant in Colombia where she grew up immersed in food and beverage operations. After relocating to the United States, hospitality continued to provide for her family, and she began working alongside her parents at a young age. Through hands on experience, she learned the business from the ground up, refining her skills over time and transforming that foundation into a thriving professional career.
Charlotte is the Owner of CBR Staffing Services Inc., a company she founded in 2012 to provide tailored staffing solutions aligned with each client’s unique needs. She brings a strategic blend of recruiting and human resources expertise, identifying the right talent, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining payroll accuracy and compliance. Her daily responsibilities reflect the multifaceted nature of entrepreneurship, including running workforce reports, verifying time and attendance, processing weekly payroll, managing bookings, preparing invoices, and negotiating contracts. Over the past six months, her company has experienced significant growth, marking one of the busiest and most rewarding periods of her career. Among her notable achievements is providing staffing services for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, an experience that stands out in her portfolio. However, she considers her greatest accomplishment to be sustaining consistent work opportunities for her staff during an unprecedented period of demand.
Charlotte earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Florida International University in 2013 and later completed her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Regent University in Virginia Beach in 2019. Throughout her academic journey, she remained deeply engaged in staffing and hospitality, continuously expanding her industry knowledge while strengthening her leadership capabilities. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Charlotte combines operational precision, cultural fluency, and entrepreneurial drive to lead her organization with a strong commitment to reliability, responsiveness, and service excellence.

What do you attribute your success to?
I've never given up, and I always say, either you're on my train or not, but my train is moving. I always say that in Spanish. No matter what the situation may be, or what issue you may be going through, you always have to remember that you have to pull through, no matter what, for yourself, for whoever's watching, for your kids, for your family. The worst thing you can do is sit down and do nothing. You have to pull through, you have to continue moving. You can't stop. You have to keep on moving.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't be scared to take the jump; take risks.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
To not be scared, and follow through what you're thinking, and make time for different things. There's different priorities that you must have lined up. But without the time and without the dedication, you're not gonna be able to get through the tunnel. If there's something that you want to do, when there's something that you have envisioned, you gotta put it to work in order for it to come through.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Laws that have continuously changed are a big challenge. Having a staffing company in South Florida, I deal with a lot of immigrants in different aspects of the word. The laws that have been changing have not fully benefited us. On the contrary, I feel like it has become harder for us to find people who may want to do the job. That, unfortunately, is out of our control, but it makes our life a little more challenging, and even then, you have to find some type of solution.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being honest, being loyal into everything that you do, I would say, is very important. Being responsible and having a word for what you said are very important values to me.
