Charmaine Love

I work in the construction industry with Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction Company in San Francisco, California. One of the things I'm most passionate about is changing how people, especially young people, view construction as a career. A lot of times when I'm out, I speak to the younger crowd and ask them, 'Hey, what are you interested in? Have you ever thought about construction?' Because many people don't think about construction the way they used to. They think it's just boots and a hammer, but it's not all just that. There is a business side to it, too. You have to approach the young crowd that way to get their ear and help them see that they never thought about that before. I'm someone who doesn't like to sit at home, and I'm always thinking about the future while continuing to make a meaningful impact in my field.
