Charmaine Thompson

Charmaine Thompson is a Certified Grief and Loss Counselor and women’s empowerment leader with over 15 years of experience dedicated to supporting women through healing, faith, and personal transformation. Based in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, she has built a strong platform focused on helping women overcome emotional challenges, including grief, depression, and personal hardship. Her work is deeply rooted in faith, compassion, and a commitment to helping women become the best version of themselves.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Charmaine founded her annual Women’s Empowerment Conference after feeling spiritually led to create a safe space for women in crisis. What began as a small gathering of 85 attendees has now grown into a recurring annual event attracting over 110 women in its sixth year. Each conference features guest speakers, including medical professionals and motivational leaders, who address topics such as mental health, grief, healing, and personal growth, while also incorporating uplifting and creative experiences designed to encourage renewal and confidence.

Alongside her conference leadership, Charmaine is also a published author of Faith in the Midst of Adversity and a 52-week faith-based inspirational journal available through Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Her work consistently emphasizes empowerment, faith, and resilience. She is committed to creating spaces where women feel heard, valued, and supported, and she continues to expand her impact by encouraging women to step forward boldly into their purpose despite fear or uncertainty.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my faith and the guidance I believe I received to step into this calling. I also credit my willingness to listen to that inner prompting and take action even when I felt uncertain. My journey has been shaped by trusting the process and allowing purpose to guide my decisions.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to be the best version of myself and not try to imitate anyone else. I was also encouraged to pursue my passion fully and to move forward with what I feel called to do.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women is to step out in faith when you feel led to do something, even if you are afraid. Don’t let fear hold you back. If something is placed in your heart, take the step and do it afraid. You will either learn through failure or grow through success, but you will never know unless you try.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges I face is securing funding to support and expand my conference work. However, I continue to move forward because I am passionate about what I do. At the same time, there are meaningful opportunities in my field, especially in giving women a voice. Many women do not always have space to express themselves, and my work creates that opportunity for them to be heard, valued, and uplifted.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important value to me is putting people first. I love to see others shine, grow, and become the best version of themselves. My purpose is rooted in uplifting and encouraging others so they can thrive in their lives emotionally, spiritually, and personally.
