Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my passion for health communication that I discovered in grad school. A lot of the courses I purposefully took and found most interesting had to do with health communication and health messaging for doctors and patients, and how to best reach them. That really inspired why I wanted to get into health advertising in general, which is why PHM stood out to me as a health and wellness agency. I've been able to work across so many different disease states now - from oncology to dermatology, women's health, and mental health conditions. What keeps me going is that I feel like I'm able to make a real impact on the patient journey, whether that's finding ways to reach patients, reaching caregivers who are supporting patients, or reaching healthcare professionals about new opportunities, new testing, and new patient resources. Being involved in the overall patient journey and being able to see the net impact we're having in terms of patient conversations, and our ability to provide resources for patients to ask their doctors and eventually get on product to help improve their quality of life - that's just an amazing experience to be a part of. I love knowing that we're essentially arming patients with the resources they need to be able to advocate for themselves.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is that no question is a dumb question, and to always come in asking questions with a learning mindset. Because we're all learning together, honestly. Every single day there's something new to learn, which is why no question's a dumb question.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in my field is navigating the constantly evolving pharma landscape—with new drugs, shifting competitors, and strict compliance requirements—while the biggest opportunity lies in leveraging platform innovations like TikTok custom pulses and advanced measurement tools to educate and engage patients, caregivers, and HCPs in meaningful ways.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In my personal life, family is incredibly important to me. I have a million siblings - five of them - so most of my spare time is being there to support all of them. I also value staying active and connected to my community. I love going on walks and try to go every single day. Living in Atlanta, I take advantage of the wonderful Atlanta Beltline and try to stay active on it as much as humanly possible. I like doing intramural sports teams too - I just like to stay busy and active in the community. I love staying busy outside where I can get fresh air and sun, whether that's going on walks, playing kickball, going to the farmer's market, or trying new things. I'm a foodie and always looking for new experiences.
