About Chaundra
Chaundra J. Dewberry, CPT, LPTA, is a licensed physical therapist assistant, certified personal trainer, and founder of D.E.W.|F.I.T. (Developing Every Way | Fitness Integration Training), based in Dallas, Texas. With more than 10 years of experience in fitness and rehabilitation, Chaundra specializes in neurotraining, adaptive movement, mobility coaching, and brain-body connection strategies for neurodiverse individuals and those with cognitive impairments. Through her work, she creates personalized movement programs that help clients of all ages improve strength, coordination, confidence, and independence.
Chaundra’s passion for helping others comes from her own personal experience with a brain injury, which inspired her to pursue physical therapy and advocate for individuals living with invisible injuries and neurological challenges. Her professional journey includes extensive experience in home health and pediatric therapy, where she has supported clients with neurodiverse conditions and brain injuries. As a licensed physical therapist assistant and NASM-certified personal trainer, she uses trauma-informed and adaptive approaches to help clients overcome barriers and achieve meaningful progress.
As the founder of D.E.W.|F.I.T., Chaundra is dedicated to redefining fitness by making movement accessible, inclusive, and purposeful for individuals with unique brain and mobility needs. She is most proud of her perseverance in overcoming challenges and reaching her goals, which has shaped her determination to serve others. Guided by her values of faith, compassion, and strong relationships, Chaundra believes her work is a calling to empower people through movement, healing, and personal growth. Outside of her career, she enjoys playing guitar at church, staying active, and spending quality time with her friends and family.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being quick to listen, but slow to get angry.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
You can do all things through Christ.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Look past what you can do on the outside. If God doesn't want you to do it, it's going to be harder. It has to be a calling.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest opportunity is helping those that have invisible injuries that aren't being brought to the surface.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being aware of how I'm stewarding people and relationships while glorifying God at the same time is the most important value to me in my work and personal life.
