Her Interview
Ten minutes with Chelsea
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith, a genuine curiosity about how things work, and a willingness to keep learning and improving. I’ve never been satisfied with simply completing a process—I want to understand it, strengthen it, and help the people around me become more successful within it. I believe integrity, consistency, and investing in others have been just as important to my growth as technical knowledge.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Make timely decisions and take action when you can. For task-oriented decisions, don’t create unnecessary delays—if you have the information and authority to move something forward, do it. For larger decisions, think beyond the immediate need and consider how the choice will affect the business six months or a year from now. The goal is to balance decisiveness today with foresight for tomorrow.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don’t give up. Keep moving forward, especially on the hard days. Choose to look for the positive, even when things feel overwhelming, because your perspective can shape how you navigate challenges. Remember that you’re not alone—everyone faces difficult seasons. Find a mentor or someone you trust who will listen when you need to vent, offer honest perspective, challenge you when necessary, and pour into your growth. Resilience doesn’t mean doing everything alone; sometimes it means knowing who to lean on while you keep going.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is the fluctuation of prices and how the nature of the environment can change so quickly so you have to be ready to pivot anytime. The biggest opportunities right now are automation and how to use AI within our industry
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is at the core of how I lead and make decisions. I try to look beyond the immediate moment and consider how my choices and actions will affect my team, the business, and others down the road. I also genuinely enjoy helping people grow and building them up. A big part of leadership, to me, is encouraging others to stay positive, recognize what they’re capable of, and keep moving forward—even when things get difficult
