I would encourage young women entering healthcare to make sure they truly care about the work they do. Genuine compassion and patience are what sustain you through challenging times and allow you to show up fully for patients, families, and colleagues.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field is ensuring patients receive the right care at the right time, particularly during transitions from inpatient settings to home. Success depends on effective coordination, communication, and making sure all aspects of care come together seamlessly after discharge.
