What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the hard work and dedication it has taken to be a counselor for the past 20 years and to work in behavioral health for the last 9, as well as running my private practice where I strive every day to help my clients live happy and healthy lives.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that I have the ability to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need support.

My advice to young women entering the mental health field is to remember that you, too, can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field right now is balancing my full-time role at an organization while also running my own private practice.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are providing excellent care for my patients while also making time for self-care through fitness, cooking, and travel.
