About Chelsea
Chelsea Sicard is a financial services professional with 12 years of experience in the life insurance industry. She began her career at National Life Group, where she spent five years progressing from illustration specialist to internal wholesaler and then key account associate, focusing on training and recruiting. She later joined Optima Financial and Insurance Services, which was acquired by Simplicity Group. Her main area of expertise is helping advisors review their books of business and expand their operations. She holds a degree in social work and completed six of the eight courses toward the CLU designation. Chelsea attributes her success to constantly seeking the next opportunity and values the advice that if one is not learning something new, it is time to move on. She has supported the CJD Foundation in memory of her mother.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Just constantly trying to find the next thing and meeting agents where they are. This industry isn't a one size fits all. Learning what the clients goals and expectations are helps to create a holistic plan. This industry is all about relationships and building connection.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
If you're ever not learning something new, it's time to move on.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
This industry is hard sometimes but if you keep learning and moving forward you can have great success. Find a good mentor or two to help along the way.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My family is the most important to me. Everything I do is for them. After losing my mom it taught me how precious time is and I make sure everything I do is to help my family.
