Cher Castillo is the owner and principal broker of Share Castillo and Company, LLC, and Infinity Commercial Real Estate. With 25 years of experience in real estate, she specializes in residential, commercial, development, design, and coaching. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in broadcast journalism and telecommunications with an emphasis on news. Prior to real estate, she worked as a press secretary on Capitol Hill after moving to Washington, D.C. She attributes her success to consistency, continuous learning, innovation, and authenticity. Cher values flexibility and control over her schedule, allowing her to balance her professional life with raising two boys in competitive basketball. She advises young women entering the industry to act like they deserve to be there and to maintain confidence.

01What do you attribute your success to?
It's a combination of things. I have always been the type of person who is consistent, and consistency is so key in success. If you're constantly learning, innovating, educating yourself on what's out there, and how you can be a better agent, how you can be a better developer. People know that I'm going to put my money where my mouth is, and I'm going to be truly authentic. I'm going to give it to them real, even whether they like it or not.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Act like you deserve to be there, because you do deserve to be there. Confidence has been the key to my success. I do demand respect, and I don't accept anything less than that. I always ignored that negative energy, and just was very much so who I am.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Flexibility and control over my schedule. I work when I want to work. It's not a 9 to 5. I may have to wake up early or go to bed late because I have two boys in competitive basketball, but at least I work when I want to work.
