Her Interview

Ten minutes with Cherie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my children, my drive, and my commitment to hard work. I believe in giving my best effort, continuously learning, and challenging myself to grow. I am dedicated to my work, care about the people around me, and always strive to provide excellent service and make a positive impact.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to stay curious and explore the tools and systems you use. I learned early on that by taking the time to understand software, test its features, and become familiar with how it works, I can build confidence and adapt quickly. Being willing to learn and explore has helped me become comfortable with different technologies and continue growing professionally.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to never stop learning and to recognize their value. It is important to understand the skills, knowledge, and contributions you bring to an organization. Do your research, advocate for yourself, and remember that your dedication and expertise play an important role in the success of any company.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is navigating a highly competitive environment. With many people seeking opportunities, it can sometimes feel like a “dog-eat-dog” world where individuals may view others’ growth as a threat. However, I believe in focusing on my own path, continuing to develop my skills, and advancing my career without bringing others down. Success should come from hard work, integrity, and supporting one another rather than using others as stepping stones.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me are teamwork, positivity, and creating a supportive work environment. I believe strong office morale is essential, and I strive to be a leader who encourages connection, collaboration, and inclusion. Throughout my career, I have made it a point to motivate others to participate, build relationships, and feel comfortable being part of the team. Whether through team activities, wellness events, or simple moments of encouragement, I enjoy being the person who brings people together and helps create a positive workplace culture.
