Her Interview
Ten minutes with Cherie
01What do you attribute your success to?
Probably my children. A big part of what kept me going was wanting to show them that where you start doesn't have to determine where you finish. I wanted to show that you can work hard, keep learning, keep growing, and create something better even when life feels overwhelming. Get them to show that perseverance.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
At first it may be a little overwhelming, a little challenging. Never underestimate what you bring. Speak up, ask questions. You don't have to know everything to have an opportunity like this. Advocate for yourself, build the relationships, don't be afraid to go after the opportunity. Keep working towards your goals and the client goals and you definitely will be successful.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The volatility of the stock market is challenging, reassuring clients that there are long-term goals and staying informative by constantly calling and contacting them to make sure they know where they stand in their portfolios. The opportunity is building deeper relationships, gaining trust, and receiving referrals from clients who appreciate the time spent with them.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Just staying true to who you are, staying humble. I value trust and loyalty.
