She joined Indeed in September 2024 after approximately six years at Enterprise Mobility, where she advanced through management and sales roles and ultimately focused on commuter benefits and vanpool solutions. At Indeed, she manages a national portfolio of approximately $3 million across 105 employer accounts and works with C-suite and senior leaders to align hiring objectives with technology-enabled recruitment strategies.

Cherry's background combines sales leadership, customer success, business development, account management, and a strong foundation in communication and human behavior. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Dance from The University of Texas at Austin, where she studied acting extensively along with psychology and philosophy. She credits her theatre education with helping her understand people, emotions, motivation, and behavior. Her professional accomplishments include exceeding sales targets, earning Team MVP recognition for three consecutive months in 2025, mentoring colleagues, leading DEI initiatives, and creating processes and training programs designed to improve team performance.

Cherry attributes her success to perseverance and tenacity and believes in taking chances on herself. She is passionate about advocating for women in technology and encourages women to speak up confidently, pursue opportunities even when they question whether they are qualified, and recognize their right to be in decision-making spaces. Her personal and professional values include community, family, friendship, health, trust, integrity, continuous learning, education, goal-setting, and giving her best effort. She sees opportunities for future growth in executive leadership, revenue leadership, product development, and go-to-market strategy while remaining attentive to the volatility of the technology industry and the importance of balancing AI adoption with human creativity, independent thought, and environmental responsibility.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Cherry

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to perseverance and tenacity. Throughout my career, I have learned the importance of continuing forward even when circumstances are challenging and being willing to take chances on myself.

I believe growth comes from persistence, learning from experience, and continuing to push myself toward the next goal. My career has required me to take risks, adapt to change, and trust myself even when the path ahead was unfamiliar.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is, “Don’t be afraid to take a chance on yourself.”

Life is too short to remain in a job or situation that does not make you happy, especially when so much of our lives are spent working. Making a major professional or personal change can be frightening and stressful, but when an opportunity makes sense and has the potential to create greater happiness and fulfillment, I believe it is worth taking the chance.

There may be temporary fear and uncertainty when making a change, but those risks can ultimately pay dividends later in life. I believe in pursuing opportunities that align with where I want to go rather than allowing fear to make the decision for me.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My primary advice to women entering the technology industry is to advocate for themselves and speak up with confidence. Technology can still be a space where women encounter pushback, outdated perspectives, and underrepresentation, but those challenges should never convince you that you do not belong.

Speak up even when you are unsure whether your idea is good enough. Pursue opportunities even when you question whether you are completely qualified. You have every right to be in the room, pursue the same opportunities, be heard, and have your ideas considered.

Carry yourself confidently, keep your head held high and your shoulders back, and continue pushing against the glass ceiling. Do not allow self-doubt or underrepresentation to determine what you believe you are capable of achieving.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I see significant opportunities for advancement within technology, including executive leadership, revenue leadership, product development, and go-to-market strategy. The skills I have developed in sales processes, CRM platforms, AI tools, account management, and other technology systems are transferable, which creates opportunities to move across organizations and functions.

At the same time, one of the biggest challenges in technology is volatility. Even when the industry is in a relatively positive period, circumstances can change quickly. Professionals need to remain adaptable and understand that the industry will naturally ebb and flow.

Another major challenge is the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence. AI is becoming an important part of many technology companies' strategies, but there is still uncertainty about how it should be used. I believe the challenge is finding the right balance—learning how to leverage AI effectively while preserving human connection, independent thought, and creativity. I am also interested in making AI adoption and implementation more environmentally conscious.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Personally, community, family, friendship, health, trust, and integrity are central to my life. I believe strongly in having a dependable support system and leaning on the people around me—not simply to survive each day, but to thrive.

Professionally, integrity, giving my best effort, continuous growth, goal-setting, and education are especially important to me. I recognize that my “best” may look different from one day to another and may not always be 100%. What matters is continuing to put forth genuine effort and taking meaningful steps toward the next goal.

I also believe it is important to have a sense of direction. People are always allowed to change their minds, but knowing what you want to pursue can help prevent you from feeling stagnant in your career. Continuous learning is another major value for me. I think of developing my mind and professional skills much like going to the gym: just as the body requires consistent training, the mind and our skills require continuous development.
