Ten minutes with Cheryl

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to recognizing the strength and energy within me and trusting in my purpose. Even when I feel afraid or uncertain, I find the courage to stand firm, defend children, protect the truth, and uphold what I believe is right. I refuse to back down when it comes to standing up for others.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The greatest guidance I have received has come through profound personal experiences that shaped my perspective on life and growth. Having been clinically dead three times and returned with a renewed thirst for knowledge, I learned to embrace every experience as an opportunity for personal and spiritual growth and to recognize that every journey has a greater purpose.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women to remain open to learning, question injustices, and turn difficult experiences into opportunities for growth. Embrace your journey, trust your purpose, and recognize that even tragedy can provide valuable lessons. Use your experiences to help others, create positive change, and contribute to the growth of those around you.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of my current goals is to promote the second edition of my book, The Death Experiences of an Average Woman, and share the lessons and insights gained through my personal experiences. I see an opportunity to encourage deeper reflection, expand awareness, and help others find meaning, understanding, and personal growth through life's most profound experiences.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Truth, education, and continuous learning are the most important values in my work and personal life. I believe in seeking knowledge through thorough research, questioning what I encounter, and remaining open to new understanding. Education is the key to growth, while truth serves as the foundation of everything I do.
