Her Interview
Ten minutes with Cheryl
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the women in my life - my mother, my mentor, my grandmother, friends and family. We've always worked together as a sisterhood and encouraged one another to be stronger. That has been the battery in my back.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be true to yourself. Sometimes we worry about what other people think and what it will look like if we do a certain thing, but know thyself. Your own mental can sniff that out if you're not comfortable in your skin.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is consistency and knowing how to balance the workload versus the career I'm going towards. I work full-time and the business is after work or on weekends. Balancing it all and preparing to do it full-time is my goal.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, having passion for others in mind, do unto others as you would have them do unto you, empathy for others, and having the best understanding possible because everybody is not the same.
