About Cheryl
Cheryl Rodgers is a senior field case manager and catastrophic case manager at Genex Services, where she has worked for 27 years coordinating care for employees with catastrophic workplace injuries. Her responsibilities include visiting patients at trauma centers, coordinating discharge and home health services, communicating with attorneys, providing expert witness testimony, and arranging transportation, translation, and relocations. She began her nursing career after earning a BS in nursing from Howard University College of Nursing in 1975, with prior experience at Children's Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, DC, and roles as assistant head nurse, charge nurse, and clinical coordinator at Meharry Hubbard Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Rodgers holds certifications as a case manager, certified disability case manager, and professional legal nurse consultant. She has spoken twice at the Department of Labor conference, presented to FedEx on a case that saved the company a million dollars, and received the case manager of the Southeast region award from Crawford. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the Mid-South Workers' Comp Association, and supports Kids Chance and the Girl Scouts organization through donations and participation.
