Her Interview

Ten minutes with Cheryl

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my genuine passion for helping people and making a meaningful difference in their lives. Guiding clients through important milestones, such as purchasing a home or making a significant real estate decision, is incredibly rewarding and fulfilling for me. I believe that when you prioritize taking care of people, building trust, and providing exceptional service, success naturally follows. Financial rewards come as a result of putting clients first and creating lasting relationships based on care, integrity, and commitment.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is to view every “no” as a step closer to a “yes.” Rejection is not something to take personally; instead, it is an opportunity to learn, grow, and continue moving forward. Every challenge and setback brings valuable experience and ultimately helps guide you closer to achieving your goals. Maintaining resilience, persistence, and a positive mindset has been essential throughout my career.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the real estate industry is to build visibility, embrace networking, and never be afraid to put yourself out there. Use social media as a tool to share your expertise, connect with your community, and let people know how you can help with their real estate goals. Do not become a “secret agent”—your success depends on building relationships and making others aware of the value you provide. I also encourage finding a mentor or trusted professional to learn from and collaborate with throughout your career. Most importantly, be comfortable saying, “I don’t know,” because being willing to learn, seek answers, and continue growing is a strength.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The real estate industry offers tremendous opportunities in areas such as marketing, sales, business development, and coaching. For those who are willing to work hard, stay committed, and continuously build their skills and relationships, the possibilities are limitless. One of the biggest challenges for individuals entering the field is the need for financial preparation, as real estate careers often require investing time and resources before establishing a consistent income stream. However, with dedication, persistence, and a strong work ethic, the opportunities for growth and success are significant.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, integrity, respect, and a strong work ethic. Honesty is especially important to me, as I believe in practicing full transparency and providing complete disclosure in every interaction. Building trust through ethical decision-making, treating others with respect, and consistently working hard are the principles that guide how I serve my clients and build lasting relationships.
