Her Story
About Cheryl
I've always had a passion for working with children. When I was younger, before I was able to work, I kept children, and that love stayed with me throughout my career. After going to college, I came back and started working in the school system, where I dedicated 20 years of my life. A few years ago, I retired from the school system, but I realized our community needed something more. That's when I decided to open an event center where people can rent it out for birthday parties, weddings, and other celebrations. But it's more than just a venue - I want to continue being influential to children by having little workshops in the building and promoting different cultures and different things for them to do. Basically, I want to give back to the community. Right now, I'm in the process of building my building, checking into different buildings and pricing, and searching for grants to help get the building up and going. I'm a new entrepreneur in the venue business, and my main area of expertise is entrepreneurship. What I'm most proud of professionally is communicating with the community.
