Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to grit, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to hard work. Building a business—or helping others build theirs—requires consistency, resilience, and the ability to keep moving forward, even when progress feels slow. I’ve learned to celebrate the little wins along the way because they’re the foundation of long-term success. Each step, each breakthrough, and each moment of growth adds up, creating the momentum that drives both personal and professional transformation.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that getting clients can—and should—be easy and fun. When you genuinely love what you do, attracting the right people becomes a natural extension of your passion and expertise. Focusing on joy, value, and connection transforms client acquisition from a chore into an exciting part of growing your business.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to start by getting intimately familiar with your numbers. Review your profit and loss statement every week, and dig deep into each category or area of your business. Keeping your books updated and properly categorized isn’t just bookkeeping—it’s the foundation for making informed decisions, spotting opportunities, and scaling your business with confidence. Understanding your finances from day one gives you control, clarity, and a competitive edge.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field right now is staying focused on long-term growth and not getting sidetracked by quick fixes or shiny distractions. It’s easy to chase the next trend or shortcut, but real, sustainable success comes from consistent strategy, disciplined execution, and making smart, data-driven decisions. Those who can maintain focus while adapting to change have the greatest opportunity to scale effectively and create lasting impact.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are balance, time management, and the ability to clearly separate work from personal life. After 20 years of marriage and life with our two dogs and a cat, my husband and I prioritize making time for each other and for the activities we love, like hiking throughout Nevada’s stunning ranges and passes—from the Sonoran Range Pass to Carson Pass. Professionally, I bring the same sense of balance and intentionality to my coaching and consulting business that I cultivated during my years in the IT industry. Creating structure, managing priorities, and focusing on what truly matters allow me to serve my clients effectively while maintaining personal fulfillment. At the core, I value intentional living, both in work and at home. Whether it’s helping clients uncover hidden profit and scale their businesses or exploring Nevada’s trails with my family, I strive to live and work in a way that is purposeful, balanced, and sustainable.
