Her Interview
Ten minutes with Cheryl
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the mentorship and guidance I have received from influential people in my life, especially my grandmother, Lucy Petty, and my mentor, Christopher Sena-Hart. Their support has played a key role in my growth and business success, and I strive to pay it forward by mentoring others through financial literacy and helping them achieve their career and financial goals.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to understand their “why” and identify what truly drives them. Stay trainable and coachable, accept constructive criticism, and remain open to learning new things. Be an example to others by showing that if I can achieve my goals, they can too.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are faith, service, leadership, and a commitment to helping others succeed. For over 30 years, my involvement with Carolina Church has shaped my approach to giving back, where I serve as a deacon, lead the finance ministry, and support the growth of the ministry. I believe in using my resources and experience to make a positive impact, whether through my faith, business, or financial services work.
