Her Story

About Chinyere

Chinyere Ezenwankwo is a consultant based in Houston, Texas, with expertise in business and investments as well as stock market analysis. She began her journey with a passion for understanding businesses before investing in stocks, leading her to study 100 US businesses daily through 10 criteria and develop the Business Before Stocks platform. This self-directed approach evolved into a consulting career after she was invited to speak at a youth conference and subsequently received requests for advice on business decisions and investments. With a first degree in mathematics and statistics that honed her analytical skills, a postgraduate diploma in education that supported her teaching abilities, and online financial markets studies at Yale University, she is now preparing for the CFA exam following her migration from Nigeria to the United States. As a sit-at-home mom, she continues to push forward without giving up. Chinyere values her family and a happy home above all, while striving to bridge the gap between business and stock investments for ordinary people, help startups, and contribute to business decisions. She defines success as making a change and helping businesses, and she advises young women entering the field not to fear doing things differently or starting again if it aligns with their passion.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Chinyere

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Women should not be afraid to do things differently and should be open to change. I decided to study businesses first instead of investing like everyone else, bringing out 100 US businesses and studying them through 10 criteria every day. Even though it was the more difficult path, it shaped my life. Don't be afraid to start again even if it means starting small, as long as you are convinced it is your passion.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Migrating from Nigeria to the United States required certifications to practice as a certified consultant in finance, which slowed me back a little. I am preparing for my CFA exam while being a sit-at-home mom, but I did not give up and am still pushing towards it.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In my personal life, my family is most important and I want to have a happy home. I want to bridge the gap between business and stock investments and ordinary people, helping startups and contributing to business decisions. Success to me is being able to make a change and help businesses.
