About Christa
I retired as a special educator in 2021 after 30 years. I started at Auburn University, graduating in 1991 with an early childhood for the handicapped degree. In 1995 I got my Master's in Behavior Disorders from West Georgia College, now University of West Georgia. I work part-time for Georgia Department of Health with Babies Can't Wait, coordinating services for families of children birth through 2 with disabilities. My volunteer passion is with Distinguished Young Women of Georgia where I am State Chair, having started locally in Gordon County in 2014.
