Christen Contario

I am a property analyst, designer, artist, and permaculture consultant with a deep commitment to regenerative design, environmental education, and creating spaces that blend beauty with ecological purpose. I am the Owner of Doorknob Studios, a role I have held since May 2021, where I combine property analysis, renovation, design, and art to raise awareness of environmental issues through regenerative consulting and creative expression.

I am also the Owner and Event Coordinator at The Akers' Eden, a self-employed role I have held since April 2024, where I operate an event venue for environmental education, artist residencies, weddings, markets, and photo shoots, serving as a home office for environmental consulting and natural product engineering.

Prior to these roles, I served as Regional Business Development Manager and Permaculture Designer at Wise Landscaping for over a year, where I led business development and permaculture design initiatives, as Lead Permaculture Designer at Camargo Club for eight months, where I led permaculture design projects, and as Lead Designer at Seasons Best Landscaping for eight months, where I led design projects in Maineville, Ohio.

Across my career in property analysis, permaculture design, and environmental consulting, my work has been driven by a commitment to creating regenerative spaces that support ecological health, community connection, and creative expression. Whether I am designing landscapes, renovating properties, or hosting environmental education events, I bring a holistic approach, strong design skills, and a dedication to building a more sustainable and beautiful world.
