What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to resilience and self-discovery. Growing up without knowing my birth parents and later reconnecting with them during the COVID-19 pandemic taught me perseverance, adaptability, and the importance of embracing life’s challenges as opportunities for growth.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to never quit your day job while building your business. People are so quick to tell you to "jump into entrepreneurship" but most people need the safety netting of a consistent income that your FT job offers. This advice taught me the importance of financial stability, patience, and strategically balancing risk while pursuing my entrepreneurial goals.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to do your research. Understanding the landscape, trends, and key players will empower you to make informed decisions, seize opportunities, and navigate challenges with confidence.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field right now is raising awareness about the impact on children who age out of the foster care system. Many people don’t fully understand the long-term effects, and addressing this gap allows us to create meaningful support systems and advocate for policies that improve outcomes for these young adults.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, integrity, and compassion. I believe in being truthful and ethical in all interactions, while approaching others with empathy and understanding to build trust and make a positive impact.
