Her Story

About Christian

My career in event planning began in my childhood in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where my mother threw parties for every family occasion - birthdays, celebrations, you name it. That's just what we do there - we love to party and have festivals all the time. I grew up with that culture and fell in love with seeing others happy and enjoying the experiences I provide. That passion stayed with me from when I was a little girl up until now. In 2016, I attended wedding and event planning school, got certified, and started my business. I became licensed in both Louisiana and Texas, and I've done destination weddings, virtual weddings, and all types of weddings. My approach is all about rolling out the red carpet and treating everybody like VIP. I'm really good at negotiating and making the impossible happen - when my couples or clients feel like something can't be done, I always find a way. I make people feel like they're family. Today, my work involves scouting vendors across different cities, finding caterers, photographers, videographers, and venues. I read reviews carefully to make sure they're legit and not scams or AI. I handle contract negotiations, virtual consultations for out-of-state clients, and always meet local clients in person. I'm extremely techy - I built my own website from the ground up and do all my own marketing and content.

Ten minutes with Christian

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my children and the women in my life that I value. They are the driving force behind everything I do and the reason I keep pushing forward in my career.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is to never depreciate yourself, never devalue yourself, never shrink yourself in any situation. I always stay prepared for whatever table is created for me. I've always been told and I tell my daughter and my son - you are always accepted at whatever table is there. It doesn't matter who the person is. It could be a CEO, it could be somebody on the Chief of Staff or President's list - they will make room for you, because that's who you are. You always have God's grace and favor upon your life, so you're welcome wherever you go.
