Ten minutes with Christina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute much of my success to my dad. His example of resilience, hard work, and dedication to his business and family has taught me the value of showing up consistently and persevering. He isn’t someone who verbalizes what success looks like but shows through action every day.

I also credit my husband, who taught me valuable sales skills early in my career and has continued to be one of my greatest supporters. He supports my drive and ambition, challenges me to keep growing, and, most importantly, keeps me grounded. That grounding allows me to pursue my career with ambition while still being the best mom I can be—present, engaged, and focused on what truly matters.

Ultimately, being a mom is one of the greatest motivations behind my success. It has deeply challenged me, provided perspective, and taught me how to lead with purpose. Everything I strive for professionally is also about setting an example for my children. Showing them what it looks like to pursue something wholeheartedly while staying true to who you are is the gift of a lifetime.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is simple: there’s no “I” in team. I believe success comes from collaboration, supporting others, and recognizing that great results are achieved together.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is: just go for it. Your voice is valued, and there is a place for you here. Surround yourself with like-minded people, regardless of gender, and get involved within your organization to build meaningful relationships and grow your career.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I believe we have two significant challenges in our field, both of which present tremendous opportunities.

First, we are navigating the rapid evolution of cloud and AI solutions in security. Some may say we are just beginning to see this transformation, but ultimately, we have arrived. Even though this technology is exciting, it also raises important questions around safeguarding sensitive company data. As a security integrator, we have a unique opportunity to educate and support organizations as they adopt these technologies and navigate this new way of managing their security posture.

Secondly, our industry is niche, and many people—including myself—find their way into it somewhat by accident. One of our challenges is creating more awareness and exposure for those who may not have an existing connection to the industry.

I’m optimistic about the growing pathways into skilled trades and technical careers. These individuals are the backbone of our business, and the good news is that the talent pool is enormous. We need to continue reaching all types of talent and demonstrating the opportunities this industry has to offer.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value family, connection, and being present in both my personal and professional life. As a busy parent of two, I cherish spending time with my children, especially as I get closer to one of them entering into adulthood. I also value staying active and enjoying the outdoors, including gardening, even if I’m not the best at it! There’s no perfect recipe for work-life balance. I dedicate a great deal of my energy to my career and to help keep me grounded I make an effort to get to know my colleagues and business connections on a personal level. A kind message, like congratulating someone on their child’s graduation, reminds us that we’re all human. If we celebrate career milestones, why not check in personally, too?
